Skateboarding Magazine Post – Birdhouse Skateboards announces New Team Manager

Posted on 14 February 2008

Birdhouse Skateboards is proud to announce Steve Haring as its new Team Manager. A dedicated skater and videographer, Steve has eight years of skating under his belt and has been filming and making videos for the many years. Steve’s introduction to the brand began five years ago when he started working closely with Birdhouse co-founder Tony Hawk at 900 Films on various projects including filming, Tony Hawk Skatepark Tour.
A native of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Steve likes skating flatbars and ledges and can be found at the San Clemente Skatepark with the Lag Crew when he’s not out filming or going on trips.
The Birdhouse pro team currently includes Tony Hawk, Matt Ball, Ragdoll, Steve Nesser, Brian Sumner, Jeremy Klein, Willy Santos and Shaun White. The amateur team includes David Loy, winner of both Damn Am and the Active Am 2006 contests, Jon Goemann, Sean Eaton, Justin “Figgy” Figueroa, Shaun Gregoire, Randy Ploesser, Derek Burdette and Jean Postec.
“I’m really psyched on the team right now,” Steve said. “Birdhouse has always been one of my favorite companies, so I want to start making things happen.”
The team’s main priority right now is to finish up filming for the new Birdhouse video, slated for release in Fall 2007. Birdhouse is sitting on a ton of great footage but Steve wants to add even more. “All the guys are eager to keep filming and I think we can really put out an amazing video,” Steve said.
