DEAR TOM,
Tony knows me I have spoken with him on many occasions. He has a very level headed character. Do you think that someone who has no common sense can do the things Tony has done with his career? Compare him to other skaters from the 80's. He knows his limits and is not afraid to push them. I know that if there was any hesitation on behalf of the White House he would have not have gone through with it. I think your special little quote could apply to you before it is applied to any others. {“Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt” -Mark Twain}

Wow, I don't believe how people have lost the concept of respect, reverence, and what is appropriate and what is not. I don't care if he had permission or not. I don't care if it was not the White House proper. Simple tact would have prevented anyone with a common sense from pulling a cheap adolescent stunt like this. Of course this is no brain-trust on this string so I don't expect much agreement here. It is obvious that you fools don't get it. I'm no prude. But I have no respect for people that have no respect for others. That's right simpletons. You all stepped in it by defending Tony. Here's a quote for all you dumb-asses that you would be wise to take to heart. "Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt" -Mark Twain

I am a Desert Storm Veteran and think its time to chime in here on this post. I am not offended by the President giving Tony the ok to skate the halls of the White House. Its outside of the box and its not like he just let any random skater do it. I can assure you there was no damage done and this wasn't intended to come off as a way to disrespect our country, our troops or the white house.
