After winning the Pro-tec pool party, it was off to the Alcatraz bar at the block to go have a few cocktails. I ran into Bucky Lasek and Rune Glifberg while I was there and got a picture with each of them. Man these guys are my hero’s and they skate all the big stuff!

Christian Hosoi is one of my all time skateboarders for sure. Here we have ripping the combi in true Hosoi form. Nice and smooth and very stylish. The master division of the Pro-tec Pool party is one of the reasons why I think this is the best pool contest in the world. I am stoked that Vans Shoes puts this contest on every year for sure!

Bob Burnquist takes the “hardest slam award” at the 2010 Pro-tec Pool Party. In the video clip below you see Bob taken a very hard slam. So bad that he needed to be helped out of the pool. After that people were going off because Bob appeared to be walking and he might not be out of the contest yet. What happened next was truly mind blowing and in true Bob Burnquist form, Bob dropped in landed the trick he slammed on and layed down a run that was good enough to get into the finals.
Bob continues to amaze me every time I watch him hop on a skateboard.
