    10. Let’s make the story shorter,

2002: Nike saw that it could make money out of a sport which they had complety ignored since it’s birth.

2010: They are still making money out of it.. The end

    24. i would have thought Nike ripping off Minor Threat having to settle out of court with Ian Mackaye would deserve a mention in this history.

    37. SB’s are pretty good skate shoes, I’ve had a couple of pairs and they wear well and compare to other brands.

Other brands also want your money – remember etnies, vans etc etc ain’t doing it for the stoke. Although one of the best shoes for skating isn’t a skate shoe – adidas superstars.

    39. Umm, this would be better titled the selective history of Nike or “Advertisement for Nike”

This complete ignores their attempts prior to 2002 and the skateboard community rejecting them, it leaves out the fact that Nike SB is run by the ex-head of Nike Soccer, it leaves out the 2 biggest turning points for Nike: 1. when they realized co-branding shoes/making limited editions was the best way to gain credibility in skateboarding and 2. when they made the Consolidunk/when Consolidated made the ultimatum to their riders us or Nike.

The real history of this company is out there but this is not it.
