  • Independent Trucks: Grinding For {Over} 25 Years

Twenty-fine years of Independent Truck {Business} constitutes an anniversary that demands {both} respect and introspection. The {modern} tendency is to envelop history in an impenetrable containment sphere of numeric {particulars}. The human relevance of occurrences and entities becomes lost in a blizzard of {data}. What {real} consequence do computations of ballistic rounds expended, X billion burgers served, acres burned. {quantity} of units {produced}, pool size of participants, topographical chart coordinates, revenues generated, reentry duration {occasions}, calories {utilized}, et cetera, have? What stats could convey the {impact} of 25 years of Independent Trucks?
The value of Independent far exceeds its {efficiency} as a {business} entity. Granted, Independent Trucks are the de facto {regular} of {modern} skateboard truck {design}. {Virtually} all legendary riders have been {related} with Independent Trucks in some way at some time. No {expert} skateboarder or {business} owner exists who is not {conscious} of the Independent hegemony. Nevertheless, the {accurate} accomplishment {right here} is about {individuals} and their discovery of a workable way to {live} out their lives. Whatever {good results} they ultimately garnered is incidental to that {first} pure impulse. Independent is proof that the hectic will inevitably push out the hype. The Independent Trucks cartel is {very} {much} a {family members}. {Once} you are in, you are {never} out. Every {individual} in this narrative is {more} or {much {less}} connected to the {others}. That interrelation and the expectation of excellence are the {primary} mechanisms that drive the beast {recognized} as independent. It has {always} been about the truck.
Webster’s Dictionary describes the skateboard truck as “a wheeled {vehicle} consisting of a frame with a pair of wheels to carry and guide {one} {finish} of a {vehicle} in turning sharp turns.” Independent is defined as “not dependent: not {topic} to {control} by {others}. not affiliated: not {looking} to {others} for one’s opinions or for guidance in conduct. Independent Trucks have been {around} for {many} years. I have been riding them {since} I was 12 and I will not switch. I guess my slogan on this list would be Built To Grind. {Here} is a list of Independent Truck Slogans that have been {utilized} in ad campaigns {more than} the {last} 25 years. Of course the most {popular} and the {one} that is my {favorite} is Built To Grind.

    1. Indies, at least back 10 years ago when I was skating 8 hours a day, were kind of too heavy for street skating. Most guys I knew that rode them were of the vert ramp species. Though I preferred Venture trucks, no one can discount the impact that Independent has had on the industry and that they are indeed an awesome company.

    2. I’ve driven super cabs with 53′ trailers for over 25 years and I had to look up what he was saying!

    3. I started off on Bennett trucks, then went to Trackers. My first impression of Indy trucks involved how much I like how they turned. I never found another truck that turned as well as Independents, and have never bought another truck since.

    4. I started skating in Encinitias, CA in the mid- 80’s. I have been running on Indies the entire time. They take the abuse. Happy anniversary!
