Indies, at least back 10 years ago when I was skating 8 hours a day, were kind of too heavy for street skating. Most guys I knew that rode them were of the vert ramp species. Though I preferred Venture trucks, no one can discount the impact that Independent has had on the industry and that they are indeed an awesome company.

I started off on Bennett trucks, then went to Trackers. My first impression of Indy trucks involved how much I like how they turned. I never found another truck that turned as well as Independents, and have never bought another truck since.
I started skating in Encinitias, CA in the mid- 80’s. I have been running on Indies the entire time. They take the abuse. Happy anniversary!
