Metroboard at CES Las Vegas 2012

Whether you’re into technology or sustainability, electric skateboards are badass.
You can reduce your transportation carbon footprint while traveling the urban jungle without looking like a tool on a Segway, and still save some money despite constantly rising gas prices.

Metroboard, who recently attended the renowned Consumer Electronics Show 2012 (CES) in Las Vegas, boasts one of the best electric skateboards out there.

Using a Wii Wireless Nunchuck connected with a 2.4 GHz Bluetooth digital signal and 600 watts of power, you can cruise up to 19mph on a variety of long and short boards. At 17 pounds you won’t break a sweat when you need to carry it, compared to other obnoxiously heavy electric boards, and with the LiFePO4 battery you can go about 15 miles before needing to recharge.
